New York (EFE).- Microsoft announces this Tuesday Bing Image Creator, a new tool powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that allows you to convert any text to an image.
“Powered by the latest DALL-E models from our partners at OpenAI, Bing Image Creator allows you to create an image simply by using your own words to describe the image you want to see,” the company explains in a statement.
“Can you create an image of an astronaut walking through a galaxy of sunflowers?” a user asks Image Creator, in the example the company provides.
To which Bing Image Creator responds with four drawings in different styles of an astronaut walking through a galaxy of sunflowers seen from different angles.
The result is similar to the one that DALL-E users have been able to obtain for months, but with the difference that in the lower margin of the image you can read a message that says: “Generated with Image Creator”.
This tool is available to Bing and Microsoft Edge users in preview, and is expected to be fully integrated into the Bing chat experience, the company noted.
Microsoft is also launching Knowledge Cards 2.0, “an AI-powered infographic-inspired experience that provides fun facts and key information at a glance.”
Last week, the tech giant also announced that it would be adding its generative AI technology to some of its most popular business applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
For its part, Google reports opening early access to a select group of users in the US and UK to interact with Bard, its AI-powered chatbot and rival to both OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Microsoft’s Bing.
