Madrid (EFE).- The Second Vice President and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, has called a public act in Madrid for her Sumar platform on April 2 in which she could announce her candidacy for the December general elections.
“Next April 2 we have new things to tell you,” says Díaz herself in a message on her official Twitter account with which she presents a short video announcing the event, which will be held at the Magariños sports center in Madrid, at 11:30 in the morning.
The message includes a series of images about other previous events that the minister has starred in throughout the nine months that her “listening process” has lasted throughout Spain, with an extensive program of meetings with various groups to gather ideas with which to shape the future of Sumar.
Although Yolanda Díaz’s message does not clarify whether she will indeed confirm on Sunday, April 2 if she is running as a candidate for the Presidency of the Government, this announcement has been waiting for weeks, the format of which implies that the call will have the greatest importance and will close the listening process started with Add.
In addition, the date is known when Podemos is increasing its pressure on Díaz to clarify his political future, and has even threatened not to attend the presentation of his candidacy if they do not first reach an agreement to attend the December elections together.
