Santander (EFE).- The Santander Local Police now has a new headquarters, in Adarzo, facilities of more than 8,500 square meters with a new shooting gallery, gym and space to accommodate the more than 250 agents of this Corps.
The mayoress Gema Igual has visited these facilities, which have had a cost of almost nine million euros and to which the different departments of the Local Police are beginning to move, in a process that will take “two or three months”.
At the moment, the gender violence office or the municipal traffic office have been transferred, which is the first “paper 0” of the Santander City Council.
He has also praised these new facilities, with spaces such as a new shooting gallery that is, as he stressed, “one of the best in Spain”.
The mayoress recalled that the former headquarters of the Local Police, on Calle Castilla, occupies a rented building, for which reason, she stressed, that this change will mean savings for the municipal coffers.
He has thanked the efforts of the Santander police and has stressed that with “better units and more troops” the Cantabrian capital will provide a better service to its citizens.
