Arteixo (A Coruña) (EFE).- The Inditex textile group earned 4,130 million euros in its last fiscal year (ended on January 31), which is 13.5% more than the record net profit it achieved in 2019, before the covid pandemic broke out.
This is the first time that the net profit of the largest listed Spanish company exceeds four billion and represents an advance of 27% compared to the previous year, as detailed to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) this Wednesday before the stock market opening.
In addition, and despite the closure of its activity in Russia (one of its main markets until the war began), the company increased its 2021 sales by 17.5%, to 32,569 million, thus exceeding 15% his own record, also recorded in 2019.
