Súria (Barcelona) (EFE).- The town of Súria has kept a minute of silence this noon in honor of the three geologists who died this Thursday in an accident in the mine on the outskirts of the town in an act of memory held at the monument to the Mining of the town and that has finished with three salutes of honor.
The act, which was attended by the mayor, Albert Corberó (PSC) and the Minister of the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà, brought together almost a thousand people from the town and mine workers around the monument to Mining, located in the center of the town, who went there at 12:00 to pay homage to the three geologists who died on the first of the two days of mourning decreed by the city council.
Before the minute of silence, the CEO of the company that manages the mine (ICL Iberia), Patricio Chacana, took the floor to mourn the loss of Oscar, Daniel and Victoriano: “All of us who work here feel proud miners. We feel part of a big family and we have lost three members of it”.
