Barcelona (EFE).- The President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, took advantage of his visit this Friday to Barcelona to take a walk through the popular neighborhood of Canyelles (Nou Barris), accompanied by the PSC candidate for the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni.
Sánchez stopped in the Catalan capital this morning to visit the facilities of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where he had stated that the new supercomputers “position Spain, Catalonia and Barcelona as the European leader in supercomputing”.
Subsequently, the President of the Government went to Canyelles, a popular neighborhood in Barcelona with a traditional Socialist vote and through whose streets he has walked with Jaume Collboni.
As reported later by the PSC, both leaders were also at the family restaurant Cinc Germans, where they talked about the neighborhood, located in the Nou Barris district, and the importance of Barcelona for Spain as a whole.
During the visit, he was presented with a work by Jordi Bernadó, a photographer born in Lleida and based in Barcelona.
The image that has been delivered to the president is part of the EM WE project, with which Bernadó set himself the challenge of photographing the identity of the city of Barcelona in 2022 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, where on June 26 he brought together 2,000 people of different ages, social classes, nationalities, ethnic groups, all with a common element: Barcelona, they have explained from the PSC.
For his part, Jaume Collboni has also given him a copy of “Simón”, the novel by the Barcelona writer and journalist Miqui Otero.
