Seville, (EFE).- The Ministry of Health and Consumption is preparing an order that, if approved under the terms set forth, will allow for the first time “privatization” by arranging primary care with external clinics and private companies using hospitals of the SAS to carry out tests and concerted operations with the Junta, as denounced by Andalucía.
The confluence of the left has published an annex of the Ministry of Health fees that states that the Government of Moreno intends to pay the first primary care medical consultation at 150 euros, and the successive ones at 90 euros.
These prices would be applicable in the case of being carried out in the facilities of private clinics, but the order also sets the amount for those carried out in the public health network itself.
This is an “unprecedented” decision in the history of Andalusian health, according to Por Andalucía, which maintains that private companies may use hospitals and public health centers to carry out clinical acts that the SAS has previously referred to them.
The text of the order empowers the Board to set the rates that it will pay to private companies for performing surgical and diagnostic procedures in facilities owned by the Administration, which – in the opinion of Por Andalucía – will make the facilities available to companies. public sanitation to comply with the orders of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS).
A “complete scandal”
The parliamentary spokesperson for Por Andalucía, Inmaculada Nieto, has described the intentions of the Moreno government as a “complete scandal”, arguing that approving this rule would be a “very heavy blow” to the SAS, its professionals and all citizens.
«Moreno is deceiving health personnel, especially Primary Care. While he promised them improvements to avoid strikes and mobilizations, he was preparing the entry of private companies to do their job, “he has censured.
Nieto believes that this decision puts into “evidence the true” roadmap of the Andalusian PP, which consists of “following the steps of dismantling public health already taken by this party in other autonomous communities and especially in Madrid”, he warned.
The draft order, which updates and develops the budgeting and pricing system for agreements and concerts signed by the SAS, began the last phase of its processing on July 8, 2022, just two weeks after the regional elections in which the PP obtained an absolute majority, recalled Por Andalucía.
New hospitals without staff
Nieto also links the approval of the order to the future of the new Andalusian hospitals and health centers and has shown that the PP “has run a lot” investing European funds in improving or building new hospitals, but “has not put” on the table the essential health staff they need to care for patients.
Now – the spokeswoman continued – the strategy of turning health centers into a kind of “coworking” buildings is clear in which, after investing public money in remodeling and equipping them, private companies “benefited by the concerts”. EFE
