Alberto Ferreras | Zamora (EFE) children as they show what it’s like to give triple bottles to triplets on Instagram.
The three little ones, Adrián, Raúl and Hugo, arrived as a gift on the day of the Three Kings Parade but, being premature, they have remained in the Salamanca Hospital ever since, becoming the three most famous triplets on Instagram.
The last month has become for this couple a daily coming and going between Zamora and Salamanca while they are looking for a new home that adapts to the needs of a large family of special category.
Not only that, they will also have to change the car for one with three rows of seats and they wonder how they will do it the day when one of the parents is alone and has to change the diapers of the triplets without further help or take them down in the elevator at home .
Even so, they were “very clear” that they wanted to be a large family and even considered the option of having a foster child after a natural abortion. They were in the process of doing so when life gave them triple joy.
“We found out that we were pregnant, first they told us that there were two and at the next check-up they gave us a new surprise that three were coming,” Héctor Borrego, an orderly at the Río Hortega hospital in Valladolid and a native of La Hiniesta, told Efe happily. town of the alfoz of the zamorana capital.
The madness of the first month
His partner, Arantxa Rodríguez, an administrator at the Junta de Castilla y León in Zamora and mother of five children at 35, corroborates this and, despite the joy of giving birth to triplets, admits that the first month has been “a craziness”.
«It is a bit of chaos thinking about going to Salamanca, how long will it take and how will you return, being on the road and with the big children here -in Zamora-, pulling family to help you because if not, you will not get to pick them up or to take them to extracurricular classes”, he points out.
The father, Héctor, also has his heart divided between Zamora, where the two oldest live and are; and Salamanca, where premature triplets learn to take a bottle and gain weight before they are discharged.
When they were born they spent six days in a row in Salamanca with the babies and when they returned to Zamora, Pablo, without mincing words at the age of 4, told his parents that he missed them very much and he needed them too. “That broke my soul,” Héctor admits.
triplets on instagram
The broadcast of their “adventures with triplets”, the name they have chosen for their Instagram account, was Arantxa’s idea, or rather her co-workers, who over coffee encouraged her to open a profile on the social network, “even if it was only so that they gave me diapers, “he explains.
The fact is that they have not received any gifts at the moment but they have known how to tell the world about their adventures in this first month with triplets, with which they can also help other couples who find themselves in the same situation, since of pregnancies and Babies there is a lot of information on the internet but not so much about triplets.
This despite the fact that having three in one poses everyday problems such as distinguishing between each baby. To round out the loop, Adrián and Raúl are also twins and even more difficult to differentiate than the third triplet, Hugo.
A small oversight can mean that at a certain moment one does not know which of the three has given the bottle and since it is not a question of one taking a double ration at the expense of another of the triplets, Héctor and Arantxa have agreed to assign a color to each one that appears on their bottle and pacifier and they even consider painting one nail of each triplet in that color to avoid confusion.
Imaginative solutions for the adventure of looking for the third child and having three more cribs to assemble at home. EFE
