Oviedo (EFE).- The Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (Sespa) plans to convene soon the positions of managers of the health areas headed at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA) and in Cabueñes, until now directed by Manuel Bayona and Luis Hevia, respectively, due to the retirement of both, sources from the Ministry of Health have confirmed to EFE.
Hevia took over the management of the health area of Oviedo (IV) in September 2016, although he had now been off work for a year and a half for health reasons.
For its part, Bayona, in charge of the Gijón (V) area since 2019, announced last night that it has asked Sespa to end its professional stage through a letter in which it expresses its wish that health in Asturias continue to be “leading, improving and offering the best of each and every one of the professionals, so that the service to patients is excellent”.
The Ministry of Health and Sespa have thanked the work done by both professionals in charge of these two health areas. EFE
