Oviedo (EFE) of Mines to the Polytechnic School of Mieres.
In a press conference after the meeting of the Governing Council of the academic institution, Villaverde has stressed that it is a sterile controversy, since in the next meeting of the Council of Universities, which will be held on February 16, it will be definitively resolved official this transfer.
In relation to the accusations of robbery pronounced by Canteli against the rector, Villaverde has indicated that it would be good for someone to explain the legal terms to the mayor, since it is clear that he “does not know the Law.”
In no case would it be robbery, he stressed, since the transfer from Minas to Mieres is not the decision of the rector, it is the decision of the Governing Council of the University supported by its faculty, of 300 people, and endorsed by a favorable report from the National Agency of Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
Discrepancies yes; insults, never
“Discrepancies with the opinions of other people, yes, but never insults”, stressed Villaverde, who has announced that the University’s Governing Council has approved today the costs of transferring this degree, which will exceed one million euros, of which close to 600,000 will be allocated to the adaptation works of some of the laboratories of the Polytechnic School of Mieres.
Finally, it has quantified the savings from the transfer at 188,409 euros, of which 140,000 euros correspond to the reduction of costs due to the integration of the subject and the unification of the management team. EFE
