Vigo, Jan 31 (EFE).- Celta de Vigo made official this Tuesday the signing of the Swiss international striker Haris Seferović, the first winter reinforcement of the team led by Carlos Carvalhal, to whom he arrives on loan from the Portuguese Benfica.
The footballer landed early this afternoon at the Peinador airport in Vigo, where he was received by sports adviser Juan Carlos Calero. Subsequently, he went to the club headquarters to undergo the usual medical examination, which he passed satisfactorily.
An absolute international 92 times with Switzerland, the striker has played in three World Cups -Brazil 2014, Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022- and two Euro Cups -France 2016 and Europe 2020-. Seferović will live his second experience in LaLiga after his time at Real Sociedad in the 2013-14 season.
The footballer had been on loan at Galatasaray since last summer, but Benfica decided to cut off his loan due to the lack of minutes in the Süper Lig (378 spread over ten games, 0 goals) to accept Celta’s offer. His presentation will be tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Afouteza sports city. AND
