Gijón (EFE).- The PP candidate for the Presidency of the Principality, Diego Canga, has insisted this Friday on the importance of the union of the center-right parties in Asturias and has warned that everything that is not this union benefits to the PSOE.
“Anything that unites the center right benefits the PSOE,” warned the popular candidate in statements to the media in Gijón moments before participating in a meeting with the Civil Society Group.
Canga has ensured that his message remains the same as a few days ago, since “the Asturian center-right needs to unite” as, in his opinion, the supporters and militants of these formations are asking “loudly”.
At the local level, Canga has avoided ruling on the designation of the candidate for Mayor of Gijón in the May elections, alleging that the PP will do so when it suits them best.
Asked for the names of the president of the local PP, Pablo González, or the municipal spokesperson, Ángela Pumariega, to head the list, Canga has not revealed anything and has said that he wants a “winning” project and the Olympic champions “are counted with the fingers of one hand” in Asturias.
