Pamplona (EFE).- The Minister of Education of the Government of Navarra, Carlos Gimeno, has expressed his satisfaction with the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding what is known as the Celaá Law and has considered that in this way the work carried out by the Department.
Gimeno has indicated to the media that the Constitutional decision “also endorses the work that the Government of Navarra has been doing, specifically the Department of Education”, based on the principles of legality and legal certainty, which “is essential for be able to advance in educational matters”.
The counselor pointed out that this decision is especially important at this time, since the admission process for ESO and Baccalaureate students begins next Monday in Navarra. “With this decision of the Constitutional Court endorsing the education law, it is perfectly clear and obviously the administrative procedure is absolutely clear, participated and shared”, he said.
Satisfaction in the Department of Education
Therefore, he added, the Department, out of “respect” and “caution” that a judicial pronouncement deserves, “is somehow satisfied that all the circumstances and all the administrative procedures of the Department go forward and that all actions in compliance with the law and the principle of legality have also been ensuring the right to education of families”.
Gimeno recalled that the admission resolution that is published this Thursday in the BON, which comes into force on Monday, does not offer the baccalaureate centers that maintain differentiated education by sex.
“These concerts are not offered in this resolution and therefore they will not be concerted centers, because the concert has been extinguished as of August 31,” he declared.
