Vigo, Mar 17 (EFE).- Celta de Vigo striker Iago Aspas did not hide his satisfaction at returning to the national team, almost four years after Luis Enrique Martínez called him up to play against the Faroes Islands on June 7, 2019 .
“I hadn’t gone for a long time, but hope is the last thing you lose. I am very happy that all the work I do in the field is reflected. Green always rewards and if you do it well, more opportunities will come”, the Galician striker told CeltaMedia.
The return of Aspas to the national team has been one of the great novelties of the first list as the absolute coach of Luis de la Fuente, who has also called up the Galician striker from Espanyol Joselu Mato, who will face his friend Aspas tomorrow in Cornellá .
“It’s an important match to go to the break as high as possible in the standings,” said Aspas, who predicted two “difficult” matches against Norway and Scotland with the Spanish team.
