Toledo (EFE).- The PP has won the general elections in Castilla-La Mancha, since it has obtained ten of the 21 seats that are elected in the five provinces of the region and adds three compared to the general elections of 2019, while the PSOE has dropped to eight seats, of the nine it had, and Vox has also obtained fewer seats than in 2019, with three.
With 99.86 percent of the vote counted, the PP has achieved 444,387 votes, which are 38.97 percent of those cast in the region, while the PSOE has added 389,211 supports, which translates into 34.13 percent; and Vox remains the third force in the region, with 202,833 votes (17.78%).
Sumar, who has been left without a seat by the Castilla-La Mancha constituencies, has achieved 83,477 votes, which are 7.32%.
In this way, the PP is once again the party with the most votes in general elections, something that has not happened in Castilla-La Mancha since the 2016 elections, when the ‘popular’ won twelve deputies and 475,118 votes (42.79%), while the PSOE won seven seats and 303,254 votes (27.31%).
In the general elections of November 2019, the PSOE was the party with the most votes in Castilla-La Mancha, and with 358,869 supports, it gathered 33.10 percent of the votes cast, which earned it nine deputies.
In that appointment with the polls, the PP was the second party and with 291,474 votes, it obtained 26.88% of the support, with seven deputies; while Vox with 237,689 votes and 21.92 percent of the votes, won five seats.
Likewise, in the regional elections of May 28, the PSOE of Castilla-La Mancha was the party with the most votes in the autonomous community, with 45.04% of the vote and 490,288 supports, while the PP obtained 366,312 votes and 33.65%, while Vox was the third party in the autonomous community, with 139,607 votes and 12.82%.
Results by provinces
The province of Castilla-La Mancha that distributes the most seats is that of Toledo, with six deputies, of which three have been for the PP, two for the PSOE and one for Vox.
And this, because the PP has obtained 145,939 votes (37.90%), the PSOE has added 125,184 supports (32.51%) and Vox has gathered 75,761 votes (19.67%).
In Ciudad Real, which votes for five seats, the PP has had two seats, the PSOE another two and one has been for Vox.
Specifically, the PP has had 114,443 votes, which are 40.56%; the PSOE has added 99,800 supports (35.37%) and Vox, 45,942 (16.28%).
In Albacete, where four deputies are elected, two have been for the PP and another two for the PSOE, while in the 2019 general elections, the PSOE won two seats, one was for the PP and the other for Vox.
In this province, the PP has won 39.99 percent of the vote, with 88,144 supports; while the PSOE has added 75,969 votes (34.46%) and Vox has gathered 36,698 votes, 16.65%.
In addition, in the province of Cuenca, where the citizens have voted for three seats, the PP has had two and the PSOE, one, since the ‘popular’ have gathered 45,159 votes (39.80%) and the PSOE, 42,358 supports (37.77%), while Vox has been left out representing the province of Cuenca, with 17,660 votes (15.56%).
In the province of Guadalajara, which elects three deputies, one has been distributed for the PP, one for the PSOE and the third for Vox, since the PP has obtained 50,988 votes (36.38%), the PSOE has gathered 46,184 support (32.96%) and Vox has added 26,981 votes (19.25%).
Participation of 74.42%
In these general elections, participation has risen by 4.36 points, up to 74.42 percent, since 1,156,799 votes have been deposited at the polls, while abstention has been 25.57 percent, that is, 4.36% less.
Of all the votes cast, 1,141,122 have been valid, 8,874 have been blank and 15,677 have been invalid. EFE
