Valladolid, Jul 18 (EFE).- Of the 2,083,717 Spanish voters who will be able to vote in the national elections next Sunday, July 23 in Castilla y León, 161,554 are part of the census of residents abroad with the right to vote, the known as the CERA vote, and they represent 5,785 more than in the last general elections of November 2019.
According to the data provided this Tuesday by the Government delegate in the Community, Virginia Barcones, on the device for that electoral day, the closed electoral census of Castilla y León as of March 1, 2023 is of those 2,083,717 Spaniards. , 1,922,163 of them are part of the census of Spaniards residing in Spain, 33,932 less than four years ago.

71,744 new voters will be able to vote on July 23 with respect to the last elections to Cortes Generales in November 2019, which are those who have reached the age of majority, 18 years old, in the last four years.
Barcones has detailed that there is a novelty in these elections compared to those of 2019, and it is the suppression of the requested vote for voters abroad, so that Spaniards residing abroad receive electoral documentation without having to request it.
Of the 161,554 voters residing abroad (CERA) the country that welcomes the most potential voters is, by far, Argentina with 52,136, followed by France, with 23,139; followed by Germany, with 9,422; Cuba, with 9,303; Mexico, with 7,495; Brazil, with 6,878; Switzerland, with 6,768, and the United States, with 6,677.
Regarding the voter profile, 982,122 are women and 940,041 men.
The largest group of voters: 184,719 between 55 to 59 years
By age groups, the largest group of citizens with the right to vote is in the Community between 55 and 59 years old, with 184,719; followed by 180,726 between 60 and 64, with 136,995 over 85 years of age.
Between 18 and 19 years old there are 39,217 people in the Community with the right to vote, with 94,305 between 20 and 24, and 95,056 between 30 and 34.
Castilla y León elects 31 deputies and 36 senators
In the general elections on Sunday in Castilla y León, 31 deputies of the 350 that make up Congress and 36 senators are elected, without a fixed number since 208 are elected by universal, free, equal, direct and secret suffrage, and there is another group that corresponds to the autonomous parliaments, with one per community and another per million inhabitants.

In Castilla y León, 107 candidates for Congress have been proclaimed: 14 in Valladolid and Palencia; 12 in Zamora, Salamanca and León; 11 in Ávila, Burgos and Segovia, and 10 in Soria.
In the Senate there are 98 candidacies: 9 in Soria; 10 in Ávila, Burgos and Segovia; 11 in León and Zamora; 12 in Salamanca and Valladolid, and 13 in Palencia.
