It is moving north at 9 miles per hour (15 km/h) and, according to the Miami, Florida-based weather center, the subtropical storm will turn with the same speed to the east on Sunday followed by another turn in southeast direction Monday night.
The Don winds extend about 175 miles (280 km) east from the center.
