Palma, May 31 (EFE).- The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has traveled to Greece to visit and get to know the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center located in Sani, a tourist destination located on the Halkidikim peninsula, in the first public act he is carrying out after announcing that he takes a break and that he will return to the slopes in 2024.
Nadal, the great absentee at Roland Garros, a tournament that he has won fourteen times and that is taking place these days, has had the opportunity to visit the 8 clay courts of the Greek facilities where tennis programs have been held since 2018 For players of all ages and all levels.
During his stay, Rafa has been very satisfied with the operation of the sports center, according to what he states in a note sent by his press team.
“The truth is that I really wanted to finally come to Greece, but my calendar and COVID had prevented me. Both Toni (Nadal) and Carlos Moyá, Carlos Costa and the entire team had told me wonderful things about the center, and they were right. I think the quality of the entire facility is spectacular and it seems like an incredible place to play tennis and enjoy a great vacation”, says the winner of 22 Grand Slam titles along with Serbian Novak Djokovic.
“But I think that what makes the difference is the humane treatment of the people who are here on a day-to-day basis. We have had an excellent relationship for many years and for me working with people who share our values is essential”, added the Balearic tennis player.
