A total of thirteen nominationstwo of which are coalitions, have registered to run for the 65 seats in the Assembly of Extremadura in the next elections on May 28, according to the Electoral Board, a list that must be ratified tomorrow with its publication in the Official Gazette of Extremadura.
The two coalitions, one more than in 2019, are those of United by Extremaduramade up of Podemos, Izquierda Unida and Alianza Verde, and Levanta Extremadura (get up), formed by Extremeños PREX-CREX and Extremadura Unida, which is presented for the first time.
Two candidacies only appear in Cáceres
All the candidacies compete for the Badajoz and Cáceres circumscriptions, except those of we are caceres y Long live Caceres, who does it only for the cacereña.
The rest of the formations that attend are United for Extremadura (UPE) and Levanta, as coalitions, and the Socialist Party (PSOE), For a More Just World (PUM+J), Extremeñistas-Party of the Extremeños (PEX-EXT); Animalist Party with the Environment (PACMA), People’s Party (PP), A Dignified Extremadura (UED), VOXCitizens (CS) and Together for Extremadura (JUEx).
36 seats are elected for Badajoz and 29 for Cáceres
In the past elections, ten political formations for the province of Badajoz and nine for that of Cáceres disputed the 65 seats in the Assembly of Extremadura, 36 for Badajoz and 29 for Cáceres
The Electoral Board of Extremadura has also reported the designation of the representatives
general, of candidacies and general administrators, incumbents and substitutes, of
coalitions and parties.
