This has been assured to the media before the booth of the PP of Catalonia for Sant Jordi, in the center of Barcelona, accompanied by the party’s candidate for mayor of the Catalan capital, Daniel Sirera.
Feijóo has affirmed that, regarding his visits to the community these days, he has appreciated “a spirit of comeback from the PP of Catalonia to seek those great consensuses that Catalan constitutionalism supposes.”
In addition, he has stressed that the objectives of his formation are very clear, that they go through “social reconciliation and economic recovery”, while he has affirmed that “we are not in politics or to divide, or to fragment, or confront the society”.
Feijóo attended the Conde de Godó Tennis Trophy last Friday and the inauguration of the Catalonia April Fair, both held in Barcelona, and yesterday Saturday he was at the presentation of the PP candidate from Castelldefels, Manu Reyes.
The leader of the PP has remarked his satisfaction for visiting one of the “most attractive places in Spain and one of the most cosmopolitan places in Europe, which is Catalonia, and specifically Barcelona”.
Among the books that Feijóo has acquired this Sant Jordi, he has highlighted, among others, ‘Liberate!’ of Juan Milián, number 2 of the PP to the mayor’s office of Barcelona, which is “a whole message from Catalan society”.
“The problem of Catalonia is a problem that we must solve through tolerance and through social reconstruction, and this book is a positive and optimistic message,” he stated.
Sirera wants “Barcelona to be Barcelona again”
For his part, the PP candidate for mayor of Barcelona, Daniel Sirera, celebrates the last Sant Jordi of this municipal mandate “with expectation and enthusiasm, and with the desire for Barcelona to be Barcelona again”, in the face of “this nightmare in the one that some have put us ”.
Sirera stressed that she hopes the Catalan capital will be a place “where people can live together in freedom, where there is freedom, concord, good vibes, which is necessary, and above all with a lot of love, a lot of enthusiasm, so that the future is better for all together.”
In addition, he stressed that the festival of Sant Jordi is “a day that represents the best of Barcelona, the best of Catalonia”, a day in which “they do not want to make any criticism of anyone”, but rather “claim” the city “that gives us like”.
