Miami (EFE).- Former Republican President Donald Trump (2017-2021) pointed out on his Truth Social social network that he has been accused in an investigation into the handling of classified documents, but assured that he is an “innocent man.”
“I never thought it possible that something like this could happen to a former president of the United States who received more votes than any other president in the history of our country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social today.
This Wednesday the US Department of Justice notified Trump that he was being investigated for having kept classified documents after leaving the White House.
The reaction of the ex-president and favorite for the 2024 Republican primaries has been forceful and defiant, indicating that the “corrupt” Administration of the president, Joe Biden, informed his lawyers that he has been accused “apparently of cheating the boxes” (where he allegedly there were confidential documents).

He charged Biden and accused him of having 1,850 boxes of documentation at the University of Delaware and additional ones in Chinatown. As well as “documents scattered all over the floor in his garage where he parks his Corvette.” A place only secured by a thin garage door, open most of the time.
He noted that he is summoned to appear in the Federal Court of Miami next Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. GMT).
“This is indeed a dark day for the United States. We are a country in serious and rapid decline, but together we will make America great again!” she stated.
The letter, received by his legal team, represents a new advance in the investigation, led by special prosecutor Jack Smith. On Trump’s handling of hundreds of classified documents found by the FBI at his Florida mansion.
The Department of Justice instructs prosecutors to send a letter to those who are likely to be charged. Giving them the opportunity to testify before charges are filed, explained the Politico portal.
