Madrid (EFE).- The squall Óscar will continue to leave showers today on the peninsula and will keep specific areas of eight communities on yellow alert, especially in the interior of the northwest, northeast, and central-western quadrants, with accumulations of 20 liters per square meter in areas like Castellón and possibility of hail.
Aragon, Extremadura and Castilla y León have been on alert for rain and storms since early morning and Asturias, Catalonia, Galicia, Navarra and the Valencian Community will also be on alert throughout the morning, according to the latest data from the State Agency for Meteorology (Aemet) on its website.
In the Valencian Community, rainfall will accumulate 20 liters in one hour in Castellón, especially in the interior.
In Aragon, Huesca is the province on alert for rain accumulations of 15 liters per square meter in one hour, without ruling out even 20 liters per square meter and hail.
In Asturias, 15 liters per square meter will also accumulate in one hour, and also in the Navarrese Pyrenees, where there will also be storms with the possibility of hail.
In Castilla y León, the rains will accumulate 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours, preferably in the south of Ávila and the central system of Salamanca.
In the Catalan region, the provinces of Lleida and Tarragona are under warning for accumulations of up to 20 liters per square meter in one hour, especially in inland areas, and hail is not ruled out.
In Extremadura, the rainfall will drop up to 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours in the north of Cáceres, and in Lugo (Galicia) the rains will be 15 liters per square meter in one hour.
