Madrid (EFE) Vice President Yolanda Diaz.
The process of “debate and deliberation” undertaken in the last week by Más Madrid will conclude in this assembly, which will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the ‘Espacio Rastro Madrid’ in the La Latina neighborhood, and which will be attended by municipal leaders and regional, Rita Maestre and Mónica García.
Simultaneously to the event, which will be open to the public until capacity is reached, an online vote will be held in which all those registered for Más Madrid, which is negotiating its role within the Sumar platform, will be able to participate.
In this scenario, the leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, plays an important role, which seems clear that he will be on the lists for Madrid and in a starting position. The Madrid formation denies difficulties around the program and the acronyms.
A final roadmap is not voted on
What will be voted on this afternoon, the party points out, will be a document that synthesizes the contributions of the local and district assemblies. It will not be a definitive roadmap, but will leave room for the party leadership when it comes to designing the final pact with Sumar.
Therefore, it is not expected that the text to be voted on will include strict provisions on the positions on the electoral list that would correspond to Más Madrid or on their presence or not in the initials and logo of the Sumar ballot.
It will rather be, if the forecasts are met, a statement that endorses the integration with Sumar, which Más Madrid has defended since Díaz’s platform took its first steps.
On June 9, the deadline to register the electoral coalitions that will be presented to the general elections of 23J ends and before that day an agreement must have been reached between all formations that want to join Sumar.
