That is the main conclusion of the report on the effects of the crisis on the judicial bodies published this Wednesday by the General Council of the Judiciary, which warns that the first quarter of the year has been affected by the strike of the administration lawyers of Justice, which lasted from January 23 to March 28.
The document indicates that two out of three releases (4,860, or 73.9% of the total) were the result of procedures derived from the Urban Leasing Law (LAU), while another 1,308 (19.9%) were derived from executions mortgages and the remaining 411 were due to other causes.
By autonomous communities
Breaking down the data by autonomous community, Catalonia -with 1,715, 26.1% of the national total- was where the most launches were carried out in the first quarter of 2023, followed by Andalusia, with 1,279; the Valencian Community, with 1,010, and Madrid, with 661.
Of the releases for non-payment of rent in the quarter, Catalonia concentrated 25.5% (1,240); next is Andalusia, with 853; the Valencian Community, with 675, and Madrid, with 573.
Regarding derivatives of foreclosures, Andalusia heads the list, with 323, followed by the Valencian Community, with 304; Catalonia, with 299, and Madrid, with 72.
The CGPJ clarifies that the report also includes the number of releases requested from the common notification and embargo services, although with the warning that this service does not exist in all judicial districts, so the data allows to measure the evolution, but it does not indicates the absolute values.
In addition, the fact that a launch is requested from the common service does not mean that the common service has executed it, he adds.
The launches requested to the common services in the first quarter of 2023 were 12,736, 33.9% less than the same quarter of 2022; of them, 5,931 (34.2% less) ended with positive compliance.
foreclosures
The CGPJ also offers data on foreclosures, which between January and March reached 5,751 procedures, 10.3% less than in the first quarter of 2022.
The largest number occurred in Andalusia, with 1,446 or 25.1% of the national total; They are followed by the Valencian Community, with 1,042; Catalonia, with 865, and Madrid, with 521.
However, if the number of foreclosures entered in relation to the population is compared, the Valencian Community stands out, with 20 per 100,000 inhabitants, and Murcia, with 19.1.
