Logroño, (EFE).- The interim chief colonel of the 10th Zone of the Civil Guard, Enrique Moure Lavilla, addressed this Tuesday all the members of the Corps whom he congratulated on their vocation of “service, loyalty and meritorious spirit ”, values that remain “current”.
In this sense, he spoke in his speech during the act of celebrating the 179th anniversary of the founding of the Civil Guard, in the Logroño barracks, in the presence of civil and military authorities, and in which decorations and distinctions have been imposed.
Moure Lavilla was accompanied by the Government delegate in La Rioja, Beatriz Arraiz; the head of the Rural Action Unit, Francisco Javier Molano, and the Chief of Police of La Rioja, Manuel Laguna.
The Colonel of the Civil Guard has congratulated himself that “the Civil Guard is one of the most beloved assets of Spain” and that they serve this country.
He has also recognized the “constant work” of the men and women who make up the Corps, their dedication to service and the professional career of the Benemérita, which began its journey in a Spain “devastated by political instability and the Carlist wars”.
In this historical context, he stressed, is where, “step by step, with patience, determination and perseverance, the Civil Guard was imposing order and law.”
Moure Lavilla has also affirmed that this “sacrifice” of the members of the Civil Guard has a price, which is “the life of all the civil guards throughout all times and, for 179 years, who have fallen into the performance of duty inside or outside of Spain”.
To all of them, he has expressed his memory and support for their relatives, as well as all the agents who finished their active service long ago, whom he has congratulated, three of whom are Domingo Roldán Marín, Juan Isla Morgado and Rufino Estebas Manzanares. They have been awarded.
In addition, he has expressed his gratitude to all the comrades deployed in the different barracks in rural areas, but also to the Rural Action Unit (UAR), which is based in Logroño and has several companies that operate throughout Spain.
The act concluded with a tribute to the Civil Guard agents who gave their lives for Spain and the anthem of the meritorious.
