In total, a total of 37,466,432 voters are called to vote on 23J, of which 1,639,179 will be able to vote for the first time in these elections because they have turned 18 since the previous call, in November 2019.
In addition, 2,325,310 voters reside abroad, details the INE, which also breaks down the number of voters by constituency.
Before the elections to the Cortes Generales, in which the Spanish will elect their representatives in Congress and the Senate, the INE also includes the deadlines to consult the electoral census or to make claims.
Thus, the census of the more than 35 million voters residing in Spain can be consulted between this Monday, June 5, and the next day 12, in town halls and delegations of the Electoral Census Office.
On the same dates, residents abroad can consult it at the consular offices. With the system (email protected) the data is also accessible on the INE website (https://sede.ine.gob.es).
Claims can be filed within the same period and before the same institutions, or through the INE website by providing a valid certificate of registration in the municipal register.

The INE also recalls that residents abroad no longer need a prior request to vote, after Congress unanimously repealed the so-called requested vote. These voters will receive the necessary documentation to vote in two separate mailings, although they can also go directly to the voting centers to vote from July 15 to 20.
On the other hand, until June 12, you can request not to receive electoral propaganda from the parties for the general elections.
In addition, as of June 26, the census cards will be sent, which inform the polling station and the electoral location.
