Madrid (EFE).- Thirteen communities continue this Sunday on alert for heavy rains and stormy showers, with special incidence in the Balearic Islands and Galicia, where there is an orange warning (significant risk) for rainfall that will accumulate between 30-40 liters per square meter in one hour.
In Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura, the Valencian Community, Madrid and Navarra, the yellow warning (risk) also persists for accumulations between 10 and 20 liters in one hour, reports the Aemet , who points out that, in general, the alerts will be active from 12:00 to 21:00.
Galicia has an orange level in the provinces of Lugo and Ourense due to rains that will leave around 30 liters in an hour, while in the Balearic Islands, also with an orange level, heavy rainfall will affect the south and interior of the island of Mallorca, where up to 40 liters are expected in an hour.
In the south and west of the peninsula, Andalusia maintains the yellow warning for rains of up to 15 liters in one hour, in the provinces of Seville, Córdoba and Huelva, while in Extremadura, the rainfall will drop 20 liters in one hour in large areas of the community.
In the center of the peninsula, the Community of Madrid has activated the yellow level throughout the region due to rains and storms that will accumulate 15 liters in one hour.
Castilla-La Mancha has an alert for rains that will leave between 15-20 liters in an hour in all provinces except Albacete, while in Castilla y León the alert affects the entire community, except the provinces of Burgos and Soria, where stormy showers will accumulate up to 20 liters in an hour.
Aragon, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Cantabria, Asturias and Navarra continue with a yellow level, due to rainfall that will oscillate between 10-20 liters per square meter in one hour.
The Aemet warns that with the orange alert there is a risk of unusual meteorological phenomena and with a certain degree of danger for usual activities, and with the yellow alert there is no meteorological risk for the population in general, although there is for some specific activity.
