Palma, June 2 (EFE).- Mallorca and Javier Aguirre have reached an agreement to extend the contract that unites the Balearic club and the Mexican coach until June 30, 2024, as announced by the Vermilion entity this Friday.
Aguirre has led the Mallorcan team in 50 games in all competitions, with a record of 20 wins, 9 draws and 21 losses.
The “Vasco” assumed the technical direction of the Majorcan players in March 2022 with the team located in the relegation zone with nine games to go until the end of the championship.
After a dramatic final stretch, he achieved permanence, a goal he has also achieved this year, and which will allow him to serve in the highest category of Spanish football for the third consecutive season.
Mallorca has confirmed Aguirre’s continuity with a photo in which the coach poses with the club’s president, Andy Kohlberg and the Business and Football directors, Alfonso Díaz and Pablo Ortells, respectively.
The vermillions will say goodbye to the 2022-2023 season receiving Rayo Vallecano on Sunday at the Son Moix stadium.
