Madrid (EFE).- The Civil Guard inspects this Wednesday a well located in the town of Manzanares (Ciudad Real) in search of the body of the businessman Jesús María González Borrajo, who disappeared in that town on June 19, 2019, they have informed EFE research sources.
Antonio C. and Gaspar R., both arrested for the disappearance and death of businessman Juan Miguel Isla Fernández, are present in the operation coordinated by the Manzanares Investigating Court number 2.
The second detainee has declared in court his involvement in the disappearance of González Borrajo.
One of the detainees was the last person to see the missing businessman alive
This 57-year-old businessman is unaccounted for after traveling to Manzanares from Vitoria (Álava) in June 2019 to sell two high-end cars in a transaction in which Antonio C., the last person to see him alive, acted as mediator.
The businessman, dedicated to the slot machine business, did not take a flight to Paraguay the day after his disappearance, as planned.
González Borrajo’s family has always suspected that his case and that of Juan Miguel Isla, who disappeared on July 21, 2022, are linked by the figure of Antonio C.
The mortal remains of Isla appeared last March, after an operation similar to the one carried out this Wednesday by agents of the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, also inside a well located on a farm owned by Antonio C .
Both he and Gapar R., who allegedly collaborated in the transport and concealment of Isla’s body, also participated as detainees in the searches that the agents carried out in the framework of the investigation.
