For her part, the acting mayor and socialist candidate to repeat in office, Berta Linares, has assured in another press conference that she will not resign despite her possible legal connection to the kidnapping of Vanessa Romero, a former PSOE councillor. That they would compromise the management of López and Linares at the head of the City Council, as stated in the court order with the statements of both.
In a previous meeting in a restaurant between the researcher -who suffers from bipolar disorder-, Noel López, the mayoress and the mayor of Urbanism, these three allegedly proposed to give a “scare or lesson” to the councilor. Arriving to supply Linares, always according to her testimony, “a bag of cocaine from Noel.” A week after that meeting, so that she “would take it and be emboldened” the day she committed the facts.
The car also states that, after leaving the councilor locked in the trunk of the car in a garage in Armilla, the investigated went to a hardware store in Maracena to buy a knife to return and cut the ties. And that, once there, he met his then partner, the mayoress. That, according to the defendant’s statement, she informed him that the mayor had managed to get rid of her. A meeting of which, according to the judge, there is evidence due to the recording of some cameras. EFE
