Moscow, May 31 (EFE).- Officials from two Russian regions close to Ukraine have today denounced the incursion into their airspace of about a dozen drones.
According to local authorities, one of the unmanned devices fell on the territory of a refinery located in Kuban, in the southern region of Krasnodar, without causing damage to the facility.
“Due to the fall, the device was destroyed, the plant’s infrastructure was not damaged and there were no fires,” says a statement from the region’s emergency cabinet, published on Telegram.
This is the second time in one day that drones have attacked refineries in the Krasnodar region, as another similar incident was reported last night at the facility located near Afipski village.
Meanwhile, in the Briansk region “about ten drones” tried to attack the Klimovsky district, according to local emergency services, quoted by the RIA Novosti agency.
In this case, according to reports, the aircraft were shot down or intercepted by radio-electronic fighting teams.
At least four injured in a rocket attack in Belgorod
Also tonight, at least four people were injured in a Grad rocket attack on the city of Shebékino, in the Belgorod region.
The governor of that Russian federated entity bordering Ukraine reported on his Telegram channel that
“Tonight a massive attack was launched against the city. Four people were injured. Thank God no one died.”
According to Viacheslav Gladkov, the rockets fired from multi-pronged launchers set a shop on fire, which was totally destroyed and caused damage to a dozen homes, a school, two administrative buildings, and twelve cars.
This Monday Gladkov denounced that several towns in his region were “attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, including Shebékino.
Faced with the worsening situation in the region, the governor today announced the start of the evacuation of children from two districts of Belgorod.
“From today we begin to evacuate children from Shebékino and Graivorono districts. Today the first 330 children will be evacuated to Voronezh, ”she specified.
Ukrainian bombing with victims in Lugansk, according to Moscow
Already in Ukrainian territory, the authorities imposed by Russia in the Lugansk region, in the east of the country and annexed last year by Moscow, today denounced the death of at least five people in a bombardment by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with HIMARS missiles .
According to the joint center for the control and coordination of issues related to war crimes of Ukraine, in the attack, recorded on Wednesday night, at least 19 people were also injured.
According to the Lugansk authorities, “the enemy fired four missiles (three M30A1 type missiles with shrapnel-type impact elements and one M31 type missile).”
A poultry farm building was damaged in the attack.
Nine arrested in kyiv for posting videos of Russian drone interception
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Police announced on Wednesday the arrest of another nine people for recording with their mobile phones and uploading to social networks images of the interceptions by the Ukrainian air defenses of drones and missiles launched by Russia.
The detainees, seven women and two men between the ages of 23 and 49 who have been handed over by the Kiev province Police to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), “were able to reveal” through their actions “details of the operation of the defenses “aircraft” useful for the Russians when planning new attacks.
