Madrid (EFE).- Year-on-year inflation slowed to 3.2% in May, 0.9 points less than the rate registered in April, mainly due to lower fuel prices and, to a lesser extent, the moderation of the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Core inflation (without energy products or unprocessed food) has cut 0.5 points, to 6.1%, according to the leading indicator published this Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
In the monthly rate, consumer prices fell by 0.1% in May compared to April.
