Valverde (El Hierro) (EFE).- The candidate of the Agrupación Herreña Independiente (AHI), Javier Armas, will replace the candidate of the PSOE, his brother Alpidio, as president of the Cabildo de El Hierro, by winning this morning in the count of the local elections to the Socialists by a difference of 30 votes.
The candidacy of (AHI) has achieved four of the 13 councilors that make up the island corporation, with 26.35% of the votes (1,574 votes) being the most voted list.
The PSOE, the current government group in the Cabildo, falls back to three councilors, one less than in 2019, with 26.00% of the votes (1,553 votes).
David Cabrera’s party, Asamblea Herreña, failed to maintain the 4 councilors reached in 2019 in the Island Council, with the Association of Electors for El Hierro (AExEH), after his departure from AHI.
Herreña Assembly, which governed as a partner of the PSOE, also descends to three directors, with 20.91% of the votes (1,249 votes).
For its part, the Popular Party manages to add one more councilor with respect to those obtained in 2029, and obtains two seats in the Cabildo Herreño, with 14.48% of the votes (865 votes).
Finally, Izquierda Unida-Reunir Canarias obtains a seat, maintaining the one obtained by IUC-El Hierro Puede in the last 2019 elections, with 7.98% of the votes, (477 votes).
The candidacies proposed by Tercera Edad en Acción (3e), with 1.30% (78 votes) and Vox, with 1.42% (85 votes) did not get representation in the island corporation. EFE
