El Rocío (Huelva), (EFE).- The Sanctuary of the Virgen del Rocío has become this Friday the first cardioprotected hermitage in Andalusia, which will help ensure the health of the pilgrims who participate in the pilgrimage.
This has been remarked by the Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanz. Who together with the head of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Arturo Bernal, have participated today in the tribute that is made from the Matrix Brotherhood to the different operatives of the Romero Plan. And in the discovery of a plate that reports recognition as a cardioprotected space.
Training with specific means
In statements to journalists, Sanz has indicated that this recognition “is part of the commitment to health in major events that logically represents a priority for the Junta de Andalucía”.
“This hermitage of El Rocio, after the tasks that have been carried out both in terms of training and specific means, is a cardioprotected area. And it meets the requirements for both training and equipment in its facilities ”, he highlighted.
The counselor has detailed that there are currently 40 cardioprotected areas in Huelva in different public buildings. But “it is the first hermitage in Andalusia that is cardioprotected”. Which means “a certification that meets the requirements of both the number of defibrillators. They have the right location. That they have a minimum response time of three minutes, a training plan. And an activation plan that has been developed over the past few months.” EFE
