Madrid (EFE).- The Spanish Paula Badosa will not play Roland Garros nor probably Wimbledon as a result of a new injury, as reported by the tennis player herself on social networks.
“When everything seemed to be fine again, bad news again just before the start of a Grand Slam. At the tournament in Rome I suffered a stress fracture in my spine. It has been very hard news after such a difficult start to the year with injuries”, wrote Badosa.
“This is going to keep me out of the competition for a few weeks. Thanks to all of you who are always with me. I will inform you, ”she added.
After a start to the season marked by injuries, Badosa was recovering a good level of play, as witnessed by her appearances in Madrid and Rome, which allowed her to climb to 29th place in the WTA world rankings.

The Catalan, now ranked 29th in the world, had managed to approach a high level with important victories against some of the best players in the world. Her ailment cuts her progression and keeps her from one of her great goals of the season, the Grand Slam in Paris.
Badosa, another casualty of Spanish tennis along with those of Rafael Nadal, Garbiñe Muguruza or Pablo Carreño, among others, explains his situation in an interview with Agencia EFE.
