Collboni has closed this Wednesday the cycle of press conferences, open to the media, organized by the EFE Agency with the main candidates for mayor of Barcelona.
After once again accusing Trias of “hiding his initials”, the socialist candidate has considered that the former mayor transmits “little credibility”: “Despite the conciliatory and constructive tone, a factor of great instability is hidden that is not what Barcelona needs for the future”.
Trias was “out of place” on TV3
According to Collboni, Trias was “misplaced” in yesterday’s TV3 debate because “he claims to be pro-independence and moderate”, and that, in his opinion, is “an oxymoron and impossible”, because “being pro-independence is being radical”.
“It is very important to know who is behind someone who wants to be mayor of Barcelona. It is very important that you do not give the impression that you are hiding something, an ideology, the independence movement, or a political situation in an absolutely unstable party and at the moment in an internal crisis”, he pointed out.
“How can you put order in the city if you don’t have order or in your party,” Collboni asserted, insisting that Trias is not a guarantor of political or economic stability.

In this regard, he has questioned: “Mr. Trias says he wants to return. Back to when? To the worst years of the procés, when thousands of companies left in Catalonia and Barcelona, when there were cuts on Avenida Meridiana, which were directed and led by the president of Mr. Trias’s party, Mrs. Laura Borràs?
For all these reasons, he has established himself as a mayor capable of “recovering the economic potential of the city and the capital” of Barcelona: “This can only be done if there is someone with common sense in charge, who provides stability, guarantees and who belongs to a party like the PSC, which has governed the city very well for many years”.
Collboni’s entry, to Trias: “How can you bring order to the city if you don’t have it in your party” was first published in EFE Noticias.
