Las Palmas De Gran Canaria (EFE).- The replica of the caravel of Christopher Columbus La Niña located in the Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has burned at dawn this Wednesday, as reported by the city firefighters through his Twitter account.
The events happened this morning and, although homeless people usually sleep inside the boat, the Firefighters have pointed out that no personal harm has been caused.
To extinguish the fire, which has affected practically the entire structure, the fire team has needed up to 8,000 liters of water.
The boat recreates the La Niña III caravel that participated in the expedition that discovered America at the hands of the Genoese admiral. EFE
