Madrid (EFE).- WhatsApp will now allow its users to edit messages sent to “correct errors” or simply because they have “changed their minds,” the social network announced on Tuesday.
“From correcting a simple misspelling to adding more context to a message, we’re excited to give you more control over your chats,” WhatsApp said.
The user who wants to modify one of his texts will only have to press and hold on the sent message and choose “Edit” from the menu. This possibility will be allowed up to fifteen minutes after sending the message.
So that the users who receive the message know that the emissary has modified them, the edited texts will appear as “edited”, but without showing the edition history.
As with all personal messages, multimedia and calls, all messages and modifications made by a user are protected by end-to-end encryption, remember WhatsApp.
This feature has started rolling out to users around the world and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
