The Minister of Health, José Miñones, will report on both plans at the press conference after the meeting.
Improvement of Primary Care infrastructures
The first of them, which amounts to 579.1 million, will go to the Primary Care Infrastructure Improvement Plan (Minap), designed to improve infrastructure and expand and renew the equipment of health centers, as well as for emergencies Primary Care and physiotherapy and radiology rooms.
As agreed by the Ministry of Health and the communities, the total investment in this field will be 493.8 million euros this year; The investment will be implemented through transfers to the communities and the Ingesa.
The maximum time period for the complete execution of the actions planned in the Minap will be, for the equipment, until December 31, 2024; and for works, until December 31, 2025.
To this amount are added the funds for the Strategic Framework for Primary and Community Care, which amount to 85.3 million euros and will be distributed to all communities (except the Basque Country and the Foral Community of Navarra) and Ingesa.
Mental Health Boost
Meanwhile, the second of the plans, that of improving Community Mental Health Infrastructures, will finance community mental health equipment such as general furniture, material for psychometric examinations, air conditioning and elevators, among others.
