Madrid (EFE).- Overnight stays in hotel establishments rose in April, coinciding with Easter, by 11.5% compared to the same month of 2022, up to 28 million, even above that month of 2019, while the Prices grew by 9.3%, and accumulated 23 months of continuous increases.
According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), non-resident travelers spent 17.3 million nights and nationals, 10.7 million.
During the first four months of 2023, overnight stays increased by 20.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and are already higher than those of that pre-pandemic period, in 2019.
