Madrid, May 21 (EFE).- The Madrid candidates have dedicated the last Sunday of the campaign to sharing criticism and with predictions of changing governments: Ayuso with the conviction that 28M will begin the change that will make Pedro Sánchez leave La Moncloa and the left with the prognosis that on 28M the PP will leave Puerta del Sol and Cibeles.
The candidates, between criticism and criticism, have also reeled off proposals in matters of culture, sport or family.
THE PP PREDICTS THE “WAVE OF CHANGE” IN THE SOUTH OF MADRID
The regional president and PP candidate for re-election, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has predicted that on 28M the “wave of change in the south” of the Community will arrive and also in the rest of the autonomies where the Socialists now govern. “You get out of socialism, you get out of grief, you get out of decadence”, she has guaranteed in Leganés, one of the municipalities of the so-called ‘red belt’ of Madrid.
For his part, the mayor of Madrid and PP candidate for re-election, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has exposed his projects on sports this Sunday, but has settled the debate on the Olympic Madrid: “It is not realistic to propose at this time a candidacy for the Olympic Games” for the capital, he said.
MÁS MADRID, BETWEEN CULTURE AND SPORTS
Más Madrid has focused the focus on Sunday on culture and its candidate for the regional Presidency, Mónica García, has advocated decentralizing it towards municipalities such as Móstoles, from where she has affirmed that culture is a “fundamental” tool to “dream”, and that in the face of “those who consider it a market good”, Más Madrid sees it as a right.
For her part, the candidate for the City Council, Rita Maestre, has attended a demonstration in favor of bicycles in Madrid and has assured that, if she wins the 28M, hers will be the “bicycle mayor’s office”, because it would expand the Bicimad would multiply the number of these vehicles by two and make eleven new cycling lines that run through the entire city and unite the districts on the outskirts with a circular route.
THE PSOE ASKS TO REMOVE AYUSO TO CHANGE MADRID
The socialist candidate for Puerta del Sol, Juan Lobato, was accompanied this Sunday by the Minister for Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, who has asked for a vote for the PSOE to stop Ayuso, whom the minister has described as “a lady who has no education, no heart, no principles or values ”for her performance in nursing homes during the pandemic.
From Arganda del Rey, Lobato has assured that he is going to “stand up for Madrid” and, therefore, he has asked for the vote: “I ask everyone to stand up with me, to change Madrid. With ambition, let’s get back to a majority of Democrats.”
Reyes Maroto, candidate for Mayor, has also attended the demonstration in favor of bicycles, from where she has asked both the PP and Podemos to play “fair play” during the campaign and avoid electoral banners on corruption cases: ” What the citizens want is to talk about proposals”, he reproached them.
VOX ASKS FOR HELP FOR ALL FAMILIES, NOT JUST 30-YEAR-OLD MOTHERS
Rocío Monasterio, Vox candidate for the Community, has promised from Alcalá de Henares support measures for families that go beyond aid to “30-year-old mothers, as Mrs. Ayuso does”, encouraging access to housing liberalizing land and expanding bank guarantees.
