Logroño, (EFE).- Relaxed for being used to flashes, like the active politicians Concha Andreu and Henar Moreno; something more tense to debut in the campaign, like Sonsoles Soriano, Ángel Íñiguez and Ángel Alda; and others calm due to their previous experience before the cameras, such as Gonzalo Capellán and Inmaculada Sáenz, the seven regional candidates posed for EFE on the first day of the electoral campaign.
After participating in the debate organized by Radio Rioja-Cadena Ser at the University of La Rioja (UR), at the start of the campaign, the seven, at the request of EFE, gathered in one of the campus gardens without losing their smile while they attended the instructions of the photojournalists.
In front of the seven candidates, about twenty people from their respective campaign teams also took the opportunity to immortalize the moment, now that the nerves had passed from the first debate of the campaign, in the face of the indifference of the university students who were leaving the Quintiliano building.
“Put yourself there, not here. It’s so nice, how docile!” They recommended them at the same time that they shot the cameras to immortalize the moment.
The socialist candidate and current president of the La Rioja government, Concha Andreu, then replied if “in the past, politicians were not so docile.”
In a hurry to continue with his agenda, the PP candidate, Gonzalo Capellán, said goodbye to his collaborators and left the place quickly, helped by his sneakers with which he runs throughout La Rioja this campaign.
Íñiguez, a Ciudadanos (Cs) candidate, had the emotional support of his mother and brother, in addition to his communication team, during his first political debate.
Henar Moreno, head of the list in the Podemos-IU coalition, joked relaxed with the rest of the candidates, more used to posing for the graphics, after an intense legislature in which she has served as a regional deputy and vice president of the La Rioja Parliament.
The dynamics of the media is not unknown to Inmaculada Sáenz, candidate of the Partido Riojano+España Vaciada coalition, since she was a socialist councilor in Logroño for several years and is the current mayor of Nieva en Cameros.
For his part, the regional candidate of Vox, Ángel Alda, was another of those who left as soon as the photo session ended, since he had to host the national deputy of his party José María Figaredo, visiting La Rioja in the first day of the campaign.
Sonsoles Soriano, the candidate of the new party For La Rioja, also makes her political debut, who smiled shyly while greeting collaborators from other candidacies. EFE
