Madrid (EFE).- The artistic swimmer Ona Carbonell, winner of two Olympic medals, has announced her withdrawal from the competition this Friday.
Carbonell (Barcelona, 1990) won 23 medals throughout his career, more than anyone in his sport, including silver in the duet and bronze in the team at the 2012 London Olympics.

The swimmer made a banner in recent years for the defense of better conditions for elite athletes who are mothers. She has two children.
Carbonell announced his retirement at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee, accompanied by colleagues and sports authorities.
