Logroño, (EFE) These are some of the personal traits of the Vox candidates for the Presidency of the Government of La Rioja, Ángel Alda; and to the Mayor of Logroño, María Jiménez.
This is clear from his answers to ten almost non-political questions posed by EFE to Alda, 32, a graduate in Law and Political Science and who works in the family business of a lottery administration in the capital of La Rioja; and Jiménez, 44, a practicing lawyer and with her own office since 2016.

Angel Alda and Maria Jimenez
1.-Do you have social networks? Do you use them a lot?
-Ángel Alda: Yes, in my generation, I think that no one gets rid of having them. I made my debut with the mythical Tuenti in 2006. Shortly after I opened a Facebook account, but I closed both a few years ago. In 2015 I created an Instagram account, which I still use and which I use a lot; and a little over a year ago I joined Twitter. Now it is one of my favorite tools to spread the messages and proposals that Vox.
-María Jiménez: Yes, I use them in a moderate way.
2.-What television series do you recommend?
-Ángel Alda: I rarely watch traditional television and the series that I have been watching in recent years through digital platforms have been very varied. I couldn’t choose just one, but if I had to choose three, I would say: Suits, Breaking Bad and The Blacklist.
-María Jiménez: Criminal minds, I imagine due to professional deformation.
3.-The trip that you liked the most? Which one is pending?
-Ángel Alda: I have been lucky to have been able to travel a lot and if I had to choose only one, I would choose the one I did in 2018 to Brazil and Argentina; but I cannot forget my transit through Colombia in 2017. When I can, I would love to continue to know Africa.
-María Jiménez: The route along the west coast of the United States. A trip to Japan.
4.-How are housework distributed at home?
-Ángel Alda: I share a flat with my brother and we “get by” reasonably well. As regards the performance of household chores, experience means that I am the one who directs them at home.
-María Jiménez: We do them both.
5.-What is the best legacy of your parents? What legacy would you like to leave your children?
-Ángel Alda: The education that I have received from them has been the basis of everything and has been the guiding light that has shown me where to move forward. Special mention deserves my great-uncle Ignacio, a military chaplain, who, together with my parents, were in charge of educating me in virtue and under the principles that have always accompanied me. I would like to be able to pass on to my children tomorrow those same principles that I received. Educate them in sincere love to those around them, in dedication, service and solidarity in every area of their lives.
-María Jiménez: From a very young age, values such as respect, loyalty, self-confidence and responsibility were instilled in me. I would like to leave my son as a legacy the same values that were instilled in me: respect, responsibility and self-confidence.
6.-What is the best memory of your childhood?
-Ángel Alda: Thank God, I had a very happy childhood. As a child I enjoyed a lot with my paternal grandparents and my brother in Benidorm, where we went every year at Easter and in San Mateo until I was fourteen years old.
-María Jiménez: summer vacations with my parents and grandparents on the beach.
7.-The biggest challenge of your professional career?
-Ángel Alda: The biggest challenge of my life, both personally and professionally, I am facing right now. Assuming this responsibility with my land is something very nice, but it entails a great responsibility.
-María Jiménez: Being able to continue depending on myself, taking care of my family through my profession, in a country where, unfortunately, the self-employed and the entrepreneur are mistreated.
8.-Is it more of getting up early or staying up late?
-Ángel Alda: For months I have had to do both because we are working hard for the future of the people of La Rioja. Between the ages of 15 and 25 I used to stay up all night and, since I started my professional life, I get up early, even on weekends.
-María Jiménez: I’m more of staying up all night.
9.-Are you an athlete? What sport does he practice?
-Ángel Alda: Yes, I really like to play sports. As a child I liked to play basketball, although it was quite a package; and over the years I became fond of running, going to the gym and playing golf, which I now practice regularly.
-María Jiménez: I have never been very athletic. Before, when I had a little more time, I used to go running. Currently I do not practice any sport.
10.-Which other candidate would you go with for wine?
-Ángel Alda: I would go with Gonzalo Capellán (PP). I sense that he is an interesting conversationalist, with whom I share the vision of some of the emergencies to be tackled in our beloved region.
-María Jiménez: Perhaps, with Conrado Escobar, the PP candidate for mayor of Logroño.
