Santa Cruz de Tenerife (EFE)- The firefighting services have managed to control the attempted forest fire declared this Monday afternoon in the Teide National Park, the Tenerife Council has reported on its social networks.

The fire started around 5:00 p.m. at the Boca Tauce junction, and the fire has affected scrubland and broom without affecting the highlands and pine forests of the national park.
Although the wind was blowing strongly at the start of the fire, it subsequently subsided, which has facilitated the extinguishing tasks in which two helicopters and ground means such as firefighters, Park personnel, forestry brigades as well as Civil Protection and the civil Guard. EFE
