Montserrat Martínez I Málaga, (EFE).- The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno (Bonilla), has a namesake who also has some historical achievements to his credit, Juanma Moreno (Pacheco), considered one of the 80 best bakers of Spain, who now aspires to become mayor of Benadalid (Málaga) for the PP.
This master baker, who repeats as head of the list and who triumphs as a bread distributor on the Costa del Sol and internationally, intends to make a historic turn, as Juanma Moreno already did in Andalusia, and reach the mayoralty of Benadalid, which has never been governed by the PP.
In an interview with EFE, Moreno Pacheco assures that he is “sure that the residents of Benadalid will know how to value the guarantee of management and progress that the PP represents in the face of the” historical stagnation that leftist policies have caused them.”
Go for the double
“We want the Serranía de Ronda to move forward and not to fall behind in the pace of transformation that the entire province of Malaga is undergoing at the hands of the popular governments and the Andalusian government of Juanma Moreno,” says the baker who is running for mayor.
The candidate recalls that Juanma Moreno obtained broad support from the population for his reformist policies and his government action in matters such as health, education and social policies, and that he also wants to transform his municipality. “If I am mayor, I don’t win, the people win,” he says.
“I am a real man, like my loaves. I am always setting challenges for myself and what better for the residents of Benadalid, so that they have an improvement in health care, infrastructure repairs, create a music school, recover old traditions and festivals and put the municipality in the spotlight of the tourism as before”, he details.
He explains that before appearing in Benadalid, he and his team already managed to turn around the elections in another Malaga municipality, neighboring Algatocín, where he has his workshop. This town was always governed by the socialists, until he won the PP to “bring progress and change” the town, he points out.
Now he hopes that this wave of change will reach Benadalid, where he considers that a change is needed on issues such as the environment, employment, the economy and municipal management.
Moreno Pacheco recalls that the PP of Malaga treasures “many historical achievements”, some from the municipal level, such as having the most voted mayor in Spain: José María García Urbano, in Estepona. The most recent conquest, however, he points out, was signed last summer in San Telmo, with that absolute majority achieved by Juanma Moreno in the regional elections.
“Personal brand” campaign
Like the Andalusian president, Moreno Pacheco is married and the father of three children, he has a speech that he always seeks to build from moderation, avoiding political anger, he relies on his entire team and his first name is the personal brand to promote. It occupies the central part of the posters and, in a small lower corner, the PP logo appears.
This strategy is not new for the popular, since the party leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, already did it in the last Galician campaign and the Andalusian president.
Moreno Pacheco runs the Pan Piña bakery in Algatocín and in addition to being one of the best bakers in Spain, he can boast of having made the largest artisan bread in the world, which entered the Guinness Book of Records, a piece 10 meters long. , about 60 centimeters wide and 287 kilos.
It has more than 170 different references of bread, has made the most expensive in the world, a product that contains gold and silver powder, and that has made the Arab, Russian and Chinese markets fall in love with its products. EFE
