Madrid, May 13 (EFE).- This Saturday there will be persistent rainfall on the Basque coast and north of Navarra, and it will be stronger locally in the eastern end of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with a drop in temperatures in the southern third of the peninsula, according to reports the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The Aemet has put a yellow warning for rain and storms today in the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Navarra, the Basque Country and the Valencian Community.
The rains will be persistent or locally strong, also in eastern Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and in inland areas of the Valencian Community; In the rest of the peninsula there is a possibility of showers and storms except in the western third, where there will be little cloudiness.
There will be a predominance of cloudy skies in the extreme north of the peninsula, throughout the eastern end of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands; cloudy intervals and evolution cloudiness in the rest of the Peninsula; while in the Canary Islands there will be intervals of low clouds in the north of the islands, and little cloudiness in the south.
The snow level in the Peninsula will be around 1,600/1,800 meters in the north, 1,900/2,100 in the central area, and 2,200/2,400 in the south.
Temperatures will drop in the southern third of the peninsula, especially the maximum in the southeast, which will drop significantly; the minimums will only vary slightly, with weak frosts in the mountainous systems of the northern half of the peninsula.
