Oviedo (EFE).- The price of cow’s milk received by Asturian farmers fell by 0.3 percent in March compared to February, ending twelve consecutive months of increases, according to the latest data published by the Asturian Society for Economic and Industrial Studies (Sadei).
Despite this, the price marked in March, of 61.20 cents per liter, is 56.9 percent higher than that marked a year earlier, in a context of escalating inflation that has also affected production costs in the sector.
During the past year, the price of cow’s milk received by Asturian farmers rose to an average of 46.30 cents per liter, 28.9 percent more than in the previous year, with which Asturias chained six consecutive years with the price of milk rising. EFE
