Madrid (EFE).- Spanish industrial production increased by 5.3% in March in the interannual rate and left behind the negative terrain of the month of February -when it fell by 0.7%-, mainly due to the good progress of goods of equipment and durable consumption.
According to the data published this Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INE), capital goods increased by 12.6%, and durable consumer goods, by 7.1%.
The other sectors also pushed the indicator up in March: intermediate goods, with a rise of 4%; those of non-durable consumption, with 3.4%, and energy, with 1%.
