Barcelona (EFE).- Bruce Springsteen celebrates his second concert in Barcelona this Sunday at the Estadi Olímpic, after the one that took place on Friday, and with which he bids farewell to the Catalan capital to continue his European tour and travel to Ireland, France , Italy, Holland, Great Britain, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
For the first time so far on this tour, which began in the United States, the Boss has started his concert with the song “My Love Will Not Let You Down”, when he usually does with “No Surrender”, on a night of intermittent rain in Barcelona.
Forty-two years after their first meeting, Springsteen has once again chosen Barcelona to start his tour in Europe and he has done so at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, with two concerts for 55,000 people each, last Friday and today Sunday, which are the only ones in Spain.
The Boss had previously given some thirty concerts in the United States, accompanied by his band, the E Street Band, but some illustrious compatriots have not hesitated to travel to Barcelona to see him, such as former US President Barack Obama, his wife, Michelle Obama, director Steven Spielberg and his wife, actress Kate Capshaw, who were there on Friday night.
Those who attended the first concert in the Catalan capital agree that they saw Springsteen in top form and verified that, at 73, he is still incombustible and that he offers his most genuine rock and roll in three-hour concerts, of which the public leaves exhausted from dancing and singing.
